News from the Consular Missions - Malta
Seychelles Tourism Academy to welcome Maltese Students
Following an agreement made last year between the Seychelles Tourism Academy and the Maltese Institute for Tourism Studies the first students from Malta are due to arrive in the Seychelles this month where they will spend a six month training phase at the Constance Ephelia resort.
Thanks to the initiative taken by the Consulate in Malta, together with Mr. Flavien Joubert's visit to Malta, an agreement was signed between the two entities to allow for an exchange of students as well as lecturers.
Given the similarities between the two small island nations, and the fact that tuition is carried out in the English language in both commonwealth countries, this partnership is a natural one for both.
It is hoped that over the coming years this agreement will expose students to the different requirements of the resorts with the Seychelles being a more exotic high end destination and Malta positioning itself more in terms of a short haul summer destination for its predominantly European market.
